Manufacturing in the USA for Over 50 Years

1949   John Berkes founded Rober Tool & Die, a supplier of metal stamping dies and metal stampings to the defense and automotive industries.

1968  Jim Berkes founded Artisan Tool & Die, a supplier of metal stamping dies and metal stampings to the automotive industry. Artisan also manufactured and marketed a product line of tools and accessories for the bicycle industry and developed a cargo restraint system that is used on returnable dunnage in the auto industry.

Artisan’s growth can be attributed the mindset of exceeding customer expectations. “While producing millions of stampings as a tier-one supplier to General Motors, we maintained a zero ppm rejection rate,” said Berkes.

1997 Artisan Industries was formed and added a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Macedonia, Ohio.

1999 Artisan Industries added a 65,000 sq. ft. facility on Grant Avenue in Cuyahoga Heights.

2006 Artisan Industries opened a third location with 45,000 sq. ft. of space in Streetsboro, Ohio.

2007 the company expanded to Sanford, Florida with a 30,000 sq. ft. facility.
